A old-fashioned Polish bridal used to be a three or even four morning affair. Usually, it was held outside in landscapes, trees and stables. They were a celebration of life and the wealth of nature. Today, however, many couples choose to skip the religion hot eastern-european brides and simply include a meeting in their apartment or yard with close family and friends. They also enjoy the wonderful meal, music and liquor but it’s not quite what it once was.

On the day of the ceremony, just before midnight ( or around it if a one- time bridal), comes the famous meeting known as “oczepiny”, the opening of the bride. At this point, the veil is removed and she dons her czepek – a cover worn by Polish maidens to symbolize their position as engaged ladies. This is also when the much braids are unbraided and cut small, as a symbol of her transition from heroine to woman.

As the couple leave the church, guests wash them with cash and granules, to give them luck and prosperity. They therefore change into their gathering clothes. It is also conventional to chuck tiny, spherical coins into the child’s hair– whoever collects the most will remain in charge of their finances.

The bash begins, and you’ll get a lot of dancing going on. Poles consider that this reduces the side effects of too much having. There will be a lot of food to, including lots of different kinds of sweets, pastries and ice cream.
