One of our beloved french marriage traditions is the “vin d’honneur” which is like a martini hour for your friends to celebrate the new handful before their dining. It’s a great way to interact with your friends while sipping on champagne and enjoying the company of your loved ones.

Another fun tradition is la jaretiere which is a metaphoric act where the groom may get the garter that is thrown by his bride- to- be and use it around his neck as he and his wife dance along. This is a joy, lively custom that shows off the child’s good humor and jovial soul!

A final fun french wedding additional info tradition is a ceremony called la bride civil, or essentially, the town hall bridal. This is a very important part of the bridal as it’s what makes your union legally bound in France.
